Vattenfall is seeking a Wind Farm System Designer (Junior/Advanced Engineer) to analyze complex technical and economic data for offshore wind projects. This role involves developing designs, performing techno-economic assessments, and utilizing data science tools like Python to influence strategic decisions and drive the energy transition.

Ansvarsområden

Perform techno-economic assessments to evaluate offshore wind farm concepts and quantify value drivers.
Develop offshore wind farm designs, balancing energy production, cost, technical feasibility, environmental constraints, and project requirements.
Drive levelised energy cost and value improvement opportunities by challenging assumptions and exploring innovative concepts.
Translate complex technical, economic, and market information into clear recommendations through executive-level reporting.
Build data-driven analyses and automation solutions using Python, AI-enabled tools, and modern analytics platforms.
Develop neutral reference cases to evaluate future technologies and support informed decision-making.

Krav

Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or another relevant field.
Experience within a technical, innovation-driven or cost-engineering environment.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to convert complex information into business insights and recommendations.
Interest in renewable energy and the energy transition.
Interest in Python and applying AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and support decision-making.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.

Önskade kvalifikationer

A PhD is considered an advantage.
Experience in offshore wind or a related industry is beneficial.
Experience from offshore wind, renewable energy, infrastructure, consulting or other capital-intensive industries.
Knowledge of business cases, modelling, optimisation, portfolio analysis or techno-economic assessments.
Experience working in project, programme or portfolio environments.
Knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Excel, database or comparable data and analytics platforms.
