ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Customer Support and Business Development Specialist I to provide remote technical support via phone, email, and chat, while also contributing to sales initiatives through tradeshow support, field training, and partner onboarding. This role requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of operating systems, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, PC interface, and mobile app issues.
- Manage partner onboarding, training, subscription, order, and warranty return processes.
- Utilize a case management system to track customer engagements and resolutions.
- Escalate issues to the appropriate support level.
- Act as a liaison between customers, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Maintain effective inter and intra-team communication.
- Test equipment in a lab environment to determine root causes.
- Prepare documentation, diagrams, and knowledgebase articles for external use.
- Meet or exceed targets for utilization, availability, speed to answer, and customer satisfaction.
- Support tradeshows and events, and engage in networking.
- Conduct training events for internal SMEs, end users, and partners.
- Collaborate with sales teams and distribution partners to create demand through training.
- Work with the marketing team to identify end users for case studies.
- Engage as a brand champion.
Requirements
- College/University degree or work experience commensurate with minimum high school/GED diploma.
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.
- Strong working knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to interact in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner.
- Unquestionable ethics and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to act independently, take initiative, and drive tasks to resolution.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Possession of a valid passport.
- Qualification and willingness to travel without restrictions both domestically and internationally.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with door hardware, electronic access control or physical security products is preferred.
- Experience with installation of door hardware and wiring access control devices is a plus.
- Experience with access control software is a plus.
- Must live within commuting distance of a major airport in the United States.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
