Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate compressor control strategies for separate battery cooling and cabin cooling systems.
  • Study cooling requirements of battery and cabin systems in electric construction equipment.
  • Evaluate different compressor control approaches for varying thermal loads and ambient conditions.
  • Implement and evaluate controller concepts in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Develop control algorithms using model-based design methods.
  • Assess system efficiency, cooling performance, robustness, and controllability.

Requirements

  • Ongoing master's studies in Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of control theory and system dynamics.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Interest in thermal management systems, refrigeration systems, or electrified vehicles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate technical results effectively.
