Ericsson's Strategic Security Office is looking for a Cybersecurity Intern in Plano, Texas, for a 12-week full-time summer internship. This role offers hands-on experience in security governance, risk management, product security, and compliance, with exposure to 5G, cloud-native networks, and AI security.

Ansvarsområden

Assist with security planning, reporting, and risk tracking using AI and automation tools.
Organize security priorities, decisions, and progress updates for stakeholders.
Research and summarize cybersecurity regulations, standards, and emerging threats.
Map security requirements and controls to internal frameworks and identify gaps.
Assist in preparing customer security responses and assurance materials.
Analyze and visualize security information for reporting and decision-making.
Maintain security reference materials and reusable responses.
Complete a small improvement project and present the results.
Support reviews of secure development, vulnerability management, SBOMs, and supply-chain risk.
Support incident-readiness exercises and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with various teams in a multicultural environment.

Krav

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, telecommunications, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity, risk, security controls, privacy, or vulnerability management.
Introductory awareness of frameworks like NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, OWASP Top 10, and GRC.
Familiarity with ZTA and AI security concepts.
Ability to summarize research, check sources, and handle information responsibly.
Interest in telecommunications and mobile network security.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
Collaborative, curious, and dependable approach to working across teams and adapting to changing priorities.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Relevant coursework, research, projects, or extracurricular activities related to cybersecurity, networking, cloud computing, software engineering, privacy, risk management, ZTA, or AI security.
Exposure to security tools, data analysis, scripting, or documentation platforms.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and presentations.
Programming experience is helpful but not required.
Familiarity with incident response, threat modeling, vulnerability management, SBOMs, third-party risk, customer assurance, or regulatory analysis.
Experience organizing technical or business requirements into trackers, checklists, presentations, or requirements matrices.
