Responsibilities
- Leads by example in producing extensible and maintainable code, optimizing, debugging, refactoring, and reusing code for improved performance and ROI.
- Applies debugging tools, logs, and telemetry to verify assumptions and proactively/reactively address issues.
- Reviews product code to ensure it meets quality standards, is reliable, accurate, and appropriate for the scale of the product.
- Leads discussions for product/solution architecture, creating proposals by testing design hypotheses and refining code plans.
- Independently creates clear plans for testing and assuring solution quality, defining test outcome success criteria.
- Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to align on user requirements and incorporates feedback into future designs or fixes.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale services or products
- Experience leading complex cross-team initiatives
- Deep expertise in Distributed systems
- Deep expertise in Cloud computing
- Deep expertise in System architecture
- Deep expertise in Performance and scalability
- Deep expertise in Security and reliability engineering
- Proficiency in C#
- Proficiency in Java
- Proficiency in C++
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in Go
- Proficiency in Azure technologies
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
