Responsibilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders to determine user requirements.
- Drives the identification of dependencies and development of design documents.
- Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code for performance and maintainability.
- Leverages subject-matter expertise and partners with stakeholders to drive project and release plans.
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), guiding engineers and monitoring system performance.
- Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends and technical solutions to improve product availability and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience with SDN technologies like Overlay Switching and Routing, EVPN, VXLAN, TCP/IP, SDN Controllers.
- 3+ years experience with container-based technologies.
- 8+ years of experience in IP networking and/or distributed systems.
- 4+ years of experience in Linux operating system.
Benefits
- Base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year.
- Base pay range in San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
