Emerson Test & Measurement is seeking a Software Engineering Intern interested in DevOps and AI to join their R&D team. Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, and supporting AI/ML tooling. The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field and has programming experience.

Responsibilities

Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release automation.
Develop scripts, services, and tooling that automate manual engineering workflows.
Support AI/ML-enabled tooling, including prototyping, integration, and evaluation of results.
Help manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices.
Investigate build, test, and deployment failures and implement durable fixes.
Participate in Agile planning, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience programming or scripting in Python, C#, or a similar language.
Familiarity with source control and automated builds or testing.
Interest in DevOps practices, cloud platforms, and applied AI/ML tooling.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Desired Qualifications

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
Exposure to containers, orchestration, or infrastructure-as-code (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
Experience with cloud services on AWS / Azure and Linux environments.
Coursework or projects involving machine learning, LLMs, or AI-assisted development tools.
Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
