Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions by following diagrams, sketches, manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Apply correct methods in preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and minor construction of buildings and utilities.
- Use Lock-Out Tag-Out processes and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Select and safely use a variety of hand, power, and specialty tools for maintenance tasks.
- Perform welding and fabrication for maintenance and repair activities.
- Conduct general electrical work, including testing components and taking equipment readings.
- Repair and perform preventive maintenance on CNC controllers.
- Assist other trade personnel and senior technicians as needed.
- Keep the workplace organized and clean.
Requirements
- High School degree or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Basic math skills including ability to read a tape measure.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel toe boots, safety glasses, fall protection, arc flash, and ear plugs).
- Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ability to exert up to 75 lbs of force occasionally; 50 lbs of force frequently.
- Ability to stand or walk 100% of the workday.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
- Electrical or mechanical technician experience or education preferred.
- Forklift and scissor lift operation experience preferred.
- Overhead crane experience preferred.
- Overtime and minimal local travel (<10%) will be required.
