Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is seeking an Instrumentation Fitter for their Houston, Texas facility. This full-time, on-site role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting compressed air products using blueprints and schematics. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of technical experience, a high school diploma with technical training, and strong mechanical/electrical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general assembly and modifications of compressor packages, systems, and individual compressors.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair assembled products.
  • Train for assembly of various products and cross-train to other assembly lines.
  • Utilize Company-approved manufacturing techniques and procedures.
  • Ensure high standard of work for on-time delivery, performance, and quality.
  • Report bill of material issues to Engineering.
  • Document quality or performance problems using NCR Forms.
  • Perform rigorous physical labor, including bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and installing.
  • Uphold 6S program standards by maintaining plant cleanliness.
  • Complete daily and weekly safety compliance and 6S logs.
  • Apply SafeStart safety training and adhere to the 'Safety First' policy.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of technical training or equivalent experience.
  • High School diploma with some technical training in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Willing to work overtime hours as necessary.
