Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production in the Finishing Department (Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, Arms Assembly).
- Achieve production schedules while upholding quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Investigate defects with Quality Assurance, implement corrective actions, and reduce scrap/rework.
- Monitor KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime.
- Identify opportunities for throughput improvement, waste reduction, and departmental optimization.
- Train, coach, conduct performance evaluations, and manage disciplinary actions for hourly team members.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a technical field or business management.
- 2+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making effective real-time decisions.
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. degree in a technical field or business management.
- Experience in paint systems, coating operations, assembly processes, or finishing operations.
