Qualcomm Semiconductor Limited is seeking a Support Engineer in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The role involves executing hardware validation activities, managing equipment, and providing technical support, with a focus on ensuring high equipment availability and on-time delivery. Collaboration with international counterparts is key to aligning tools and processes.

Ansvarsområden

Execute overall hardware (FT and CP) validation activities on test floors in Taiwan and Singapore.
Implement maintenance programs and qualify new hardware configurations and test programs.
Ensure high validation equipment availability (uptime) and on-time delivery of validation activities.
Provide leadership and support to technicians and planners.
Collaborate closely with counterparts across regions to align and implement common tools, processes, and procedures.
Hardware validation’s equipment resources allocation and management.
New hardware validation and buyoff.
Develop/Review of hardware validation SOP.
Budget management and cost reduction initiatives.
Hardware spare parts (socket, component, pins etc.) sourcing, ordering, control and management.
24x7 technical support.
Analyze HW malfunctions and failures, monitor performance, and develop corrective actions.
Work with counterparts from other sites to develop hardware specifications for next generation products.
Drive improvement in the performance, productivity, and efficiency of H/W validation’s equipment and monitor KPI.

Krav

At least 2 years’ experience as Support Engineer or similar role.
RF testing and engineering skills are preferred.
Good English communication skills in both written and oral.
Hands-on experience in Automated Test Equipment, Load-board repair, probe-card repair and test Hardware validation etc.
Able to read schematic diagrams, can identify various electronic components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, relays, etc.).
Basic electronic troubleshooting/debugging skills.
Microsoft Office and presentation Skills.
Can work both independently and as part of team.
Have the “can do” attitude and willing to learn new skills.
Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience.
Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.
