Emerson is seeking a Senior/Lead Mechanical Support Engineer in Pune, India, with 8-14 years of experience in actuators, cylinders, and valves. Responsibilities include customized design, 3D modeling, drawing completion, and supporting cost reduction projects. The role requires expert-level Creo skills, knowledge of GD&T, and familiarity with relevant industry standards.

Ansvarsområden

Understand project/work scope, plan, and deliver quality output meeting schedule and timeline.
Work on customized design and value engineering for cylinders, actuators, and valves.
Develop 3D solid models and assemblies.
Complete drawings with tolerance study, GD&T, analysis of fits and clearances.
Prepare engineering documentation including bill of material.
Support cost reduction and rationalization projects within the Cylinder product line.
Test products in the lab following safety practices and guidelines.
Contribute to EIC-Pune Assigned Initiatives.
Interact with global and local team members to meet and optimize product design requirements.
Adhere to quality processes and ensure on-time delivery and quality of deliverables.
Communicate and coordinate results with team members.
Support various organizational initiatives like Innovation, Safety, Customer focus, and processes.

Krav

Minimum bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with 8–14 years of relevant exposure in actuators, cylinders, and valve domain.
Knowledge of various standards applicable to cylinder product line – NFPA, ISO, FDA etc.
Knowledge of elastomers used in cylinders.
Good knowledge about cylinder configurations – referencing catalog.
Expert level Creo software skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Software tools like Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink.
Strong modeling and drafting practices.
Working knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance Study and International Standards.
Basic knowledge of Pneumatically operated Solenoid operated direction control Valves, Air preparation valves.
Strong interpersonal skills and team working player.
Good Lateral Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills.
Respect company’s values and ethics.
