Synopsys is seeking a Solutions Engineering Architect to partner with High Performance Computing companies, architecting solutions using Synopsys IP. You will engage directly with customers to understand requirements, specify architectures, and drive success from evaluation to tape-out and bring-up, while also providing technical collateral and feedback to internal teams.
Ansvarsområden
- Engage directly with Customers Architects and SoC Leads to gather requirements, understand needs and translate them into compelling technical solutions that address their system problem.
- Specify architectures that integrate the IP blocks into SoC subsystems.
- Drive customer success from IP evaluation, kick-off, integration to tape-out and silicon bring-up.
- Develop technical collateral including architecture diagrams, design specifications, applications notes, white papers and other technical documents to help the presales process.
- Understand customers target sectors, analyze and prioritize customer design requirements, and provide feedback to the Marketing and Design team.
- Travel (~ 15-30%) to visit customer, sales, and engineering locations.
Krav
- Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 10+ Years of experience as a design/system/applications engineer.
- Experience with interface, connectivity and memory protocols such as UCIe, PCIe, Ethernet; HBM and LPDDR.
- Familiarity with state-of-art SoC design implementation: RTL design and verification using Verilog or SystemVerilog, Synthesis and static timing analysis, physical design flow, testbench creation and simulation, some familiarity with analog/mixed-signal design and verification flows.
- Familiarity with high-speed PCB layout, signal integrity, assembly and manufacturing, and Signal Integrity (SI).
- Working knowledge of using lab equipment including high speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers and traffic generators.
- Strong technical communication and organizational skills: Ability to understand and present complex technical requirements, problems, and solutions concisely in verbal and written communications, Ability to analyze, summarize and generate status updates from technical data, Ability to organize, conduct and coordinate meetings involving multiple teams internal and external.
- Prior experience in selecting, using, designing, or supporting internal or external IP.
- Prior experience in an application engineering or another direct customer facing role.

- Drive and assist the sales team to secure key designs with Synopsys IP.
- Differentiate IP offering by using deep understanding of customer ASIC/SoC system architecture and requirements to develop solutions that make effective use Synopsys IP, Subsystems and Services.
- Help to define the next generation IP products working closely with Product Management and Design Engineering teams.
- Provide technical training to FAE's, and key customers on IP products.
