Emerson's Test & Measurement (T&M) Business Unit is looking for a Software Engineering Intern interested in desktop development to join their Platform Software R&D team. Responsibilities include developing features in LabVIEW, collaborating with team members, and ensuring code quality through testing.

Ansvarsområden

Deliver product features by participating in research, design, development, and documentation efforts.
Collaborate with team members and project leaders on design discussions and code architecture.
Specify, design, and implement new product features.
Develop unit and automated functional tests to ensure high code quality and catch future regressions.
Participate in team activities including standups, backlog reviews, retrospectives, and brainstorming sessions.
Explore and apply new technologies to continually improve our infrastructure and processes.

Krav

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or similar)
Understanding of good software design and architecture principles including: Data structures, Object oriented programming
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience programming in C++
Experience using source code control (e.g. Git)
Experience working in the Azure DevOps environment
Demonstrated ability to: Problem-solve effectively - diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions; enjoy problem solving
Take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently
Persistently drive tasks and projects to successful completion
Take ownership of goals
Listen attentively and grasp technical conversations
Quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products
