We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team to advance IKEA's digital infrastructure and capabilities by building, deploying, and maintaining web applications. This role requires comfort with various technologies, experience with cloud-native app development on GCP, and understanding of cloud storage, databases, and serverless technologies.

Ansvarsområden

Build, deploy, and maintain web applications.
Automate workflows and ensure a smooth development lifecycle.
Design, develop, and implement Typescript/Javascript, Python and SQL code with CI/CD pipelines on GCP.
Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
Monitor application and infrastructure health and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
Implement best practices for reliability and performance optimization.
Contribute to the automation of data pipeline deployment and monitoring using DevOps practices and tools.
Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous learning activities.

Krav

Proven experience in Frontend development with clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Typescript and Python.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, CloudSQL, and Pub/Sub, or similar cloud-based data processing technologies.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in application development, integrations, data engineering, such as Python, and experience with related frameworks and libraries.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with relational databases.
Understanding how to manage complex state in a front-end application.
Familiarity with DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment of data pipelines, including version control systems like Git.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
Alignment with IKEA's values and vision.
Formal qualifications in computer science, software engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a software engineer, data engineer, or equivalent, working in agile and iterative teams.
Absolute understanding of Git (branching, merging, rebasing, pull requests) and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
Strong programming and data manipulation skills using Typescript, Nodejs/Python and advanced SQL.
Familiarity with at least one of the databases – PostgreSQL, BigQuery.
Familiarity with at least one of the databases Firestore, MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
Proven experience building system REST APIs or Graphql understanding.

Comfortable working with a variety of technologies.
Good understanding of cloud storage, databases, serverless and how to use cloud-native in production.
Knowing how to set up automated testing and deployment pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Knowledge of caching using Redis or Memcache.
Experience with frameworks like Django, FastAPI for backend and React/Angular for Frontend.
Experience with Graph databases like Neo4j.
Experience around analytics tools like Power BI/Looker/Apache SuperSet.
Experience with authentication and Authorization protocols (Oauth/Jwt).
