Microsoft Windows Security team seeks a security engineer focused on offensive security, penetration testing, and securing Windows products and services. Responsibilities include leading security reviews, developing tools, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance security posture and defend against threats.

Ansvarsområden

Lead and participate in security reviews (design, code, penetration testing) to identify and mitigate risks.
Build reusable agents and tools to improve the consistency and quality of security reviews.
Review deployments and code for security defects and architectural risk using automated tools.
Safely demonstrate the real-world impact of security flaws for prioritization and fix validation.
Act as the security contact for teams building new products and services.
Apply an adversary mindset to bypass security controls.
Devise new protections based on a broad understanding of security.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve security and articulate the value of security investments.

Krav

Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in security or related field.
OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in security or related field.
OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Önskade kvalifikationer

2+ years identifying vulnerabilities in online services, deployment misconfigurations.
5+ years of experience in software engineering or security-related engineering.
Public track record of relevant security research, especially around vulnerability discovery.
