Vattenfall is seeking a (Senior) Project Engineer for its Business Area Wind, focusing on onshore and offshore wind projects. The role involves delivering engineering work packages, managing technical interfaces, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and standards for cable accessories and installation methodologies. The position is hybrid, based in Hamburg, Germany or Amsterdam, Netherlands, with a deadline of November 29, 2026.

Ansvarsområden

Ensure delivery of assigned work packages per contractual requirements and standards
Perform technical review of reports, design and system studies supplied by contractors and third parties
Support supplier qualification activities, factory visits, inspections, testing and technical workshops
Review and support development of offshore installation, handling, termination and testing procedures
Interface with other packages and plant suppliers to ensure consistency, technical compatibility and quality
Manage technical queries and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders
Ensure timely documentation of findings, lessons learned and proactively share knowledge
Monitor and report on safety, quality, progress, and cost
Manage risks, opportunities and mitigation plans for own scope
Engage with internal stakeholders to handle deviations from the Employer’s Requirements
Collaborate with Legal/Contract Management on claims related to IAC
Plan and coordinate assigned technical activities within the project schedule
Represent technical interests within cross-functional project discussions

Krav

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical engineering or similar
Experience working as project engineer on large-scale projects with the inter array cables scope
Strong theoretical knowledge and/or practical experience with cable accessories, including terminations, hang-offs, fibre optic connections and their associated installation activities on an offshore wind farm
Technical knowledge of Inter array cable system for wind farms with focus on technical interfaces towards the wind turbine, its foundation as well as the offshore substation
Understanding of the commercial impact of technical choices
Good communication, collaboration and influencing skills
High degree of self-motivation and autonomy
Continuous learning and improvement mindset
Willingness to travel and perform remote work from supplier’s sites/offices
Good English language skills and preferably also good German and/or Dutch

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience with cable installation, electrical system design or systems engineering will be considered a plus.
