Qualcomm is looking for a Physical Design Staff Engineer in Noida, India. This role involves planning, designing, and optimizing electronic systems, with a focus on physical design and STA in the CPU domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with industry-standard tools and a strong understanding of the physical implementation flow.

Ansvarsområden

Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, circuits, and packaging.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.
Execute physical implementation from floorplan to timing signoff.
Manage IR drop and physical verification aspects.
Prepare complex ECOs for timing convergence across a huge set of corners.
Minimize power consumption.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
8+ years of experience in Physical design, STA in CPU Domain.
Solid understanding of industry standard tools for physical implementation (Genus, Innovus, FC, PT, Tempus, Voltas and redhawk).
Solid grip from floorplan to PRO and timing signoff along with understanding of IR drop and physical verification aspect.
Experienced about preparing complex ECOs for timing convergence (across huge set of corners) through Tweaker / Tempus / Physical PT ECOs.
Aware about the tricks for minimizing power.
Expertise in Perl, TCL language.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience in deep submicron process technology nodes is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of high performance and low power implementation methods is preferred.
Willing to push PPA to the best possible extent.
Strong fundamentals.
