Qualcomm's PPAT Team seeks a Power and Thermal Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize power and thermal solutions for high-power CPU-based server-class SoCs. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable performance in server environments, with a focus on CPU/GPU power and performance management.

Ansvarsområden

Enable, analyze, and optimize power features, including CPU performance, state management, and telemetry.
Define and evaluate thermal solutions such as heat sinks, vapor chambers, cold plates, and TIM selection.
Manage thermal and throttling states, and collaborate with platform teams on server mechanical and airflow design.
Support power-thermal co-optimization during silicon bring-up.
Define and execute power and thermal validation plans, including lab measurements and workload-based testing.
Correlate simulation data with lab results and drive design improvements.
Partner with silicon design, power, platform, BIOS, and firmware teams, as well as external vendors.
Provide thermal guidance during platform bring-up and customer engagements.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Hands-on experience in CPU / GPU / accelerator power and performance management.
Experience with Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, or similar semiconductor companies.
Experience working on data center, cloud server, and similar products.
