Microsoft seeks an Information Security Manager to oversee security governance, assurance, and operations for UK Public Safety and National Security activities. This role, based in Reading, ensures compliance with UK Government security policy and customer requirements, acting as a trusted advisor to translate complex security needs into practical controls.

Ansvarsområden

Define, maintain, and implement information and operational security policies, standards, and procedures.
Translate government and customer security requirements into scalable, operationally workable controls.
Provide information security leadership across the programme lifecycle.
Advise on security obligations within Statements of Work and related contractual documents.
Support security risk assessments and ensure significant risks are escalated.
Provide guidance on the handling, storage, sharing, transfer, retention, and disposal of sensitive information.
Support security incident management and investigations.
Act as an information security point of contact for UK national security programmes.
Develop positive relationships with legal, government affairs, and business colleagues.
Use AI solutions to scale work and drive continuous improvement.

Krav

Demonstrable experience in information security, operational security, programme security, or a government security role.
Sole UK National.
Hold, or be able to obtain and maintain, UK Government security clearance (DV).
Knowledge of UK Government security policy, security controls, and government information handling requirements.
Demonstrable experience supporting large, complex programmes for UK Government, defence, or national security customers.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience interpreting contractual security requirements and translating them into practical operational controls.
Experience managing information security risk, assurance, or accreditation activities.
Stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with leaders, customers, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Ability to establish a “trusted advisor” relationship.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in different locations.
High tolerance for ambiguity and change.
Passion for technology, digital transformation, and Microsoft's products/services.
Desirable CISSP, CISM, CCSP certifications.
Some knowledge of Defence exports compliance issues is an advantage.
Experience with international trade specialists on export-control regimes.

Förmåner

Typical base pay range: £70,300.00 - £133,900.00 per year.
