Wesko Locks is looking for an experienced Firmware Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for their electronic locking products using C and RTOS. The role involves collaboration with hardware teams and requires proficiency in communication protocols and wireless technologies. This is a full-time, on-site position in Mississauga, Ontario, offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Ansvarsområden

Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for electronic locking products.
Develop firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C and RTOS environments.
Implement and support communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware issues through root cause analysis.
Collaborate with hardware and engineering teams throughout product development.
Integrate firmware with sensors, peripherals, and communication modules.
Support product validation, testing, and verification activities.
Assist with firmware releases, updates, and technical documentation.
Provide technical support to production and other internal teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and new product development.

Krav

5–7 years of embedded firmware or software development experience.
Strong proficiency in C programming.
Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based products.
Knowledge of communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
Experience with wireless technologies such as BLE and Wi-Fi.
Familiarity with RTOS, Git, and development tools.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Post-secondary education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Occasional travel up to 10% may be required.
Available to work occasional additional hours based on business needs.
