Qualcomm is seeking an Embedded Systems & RTOS Development Engineer/Sr Engineer for their Core Platform team in Cork, Ireland. This role involves developing next-generation System-on-chip (SoC) features, critical embedded drivers, and associated technologies across various product categories. The ideal candidate will have experience with RTOS, strong C programming skills, and a background in SoC development or architecture.
Ansvarsområden
- Develop and prototype industry-leading features for System-on-chip (SoC).
- Deliver critical embedded drivers and associated features for Qualcomm's chipset portfolio (Mobile, Auto, XR, etc.).
- Design, test, and document multiple drivers for internal and external consumption.
- Collaborate on projects across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Develop and improve methodologies for experimentation and analysis.
Krav
- SoC development and/or architecture background, preferably in Compute or Mobile space.
- Experience with RTOS such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or ThreadX.
- Good understanding of operating systems, memory management, and embedded systems architecture.
- Strong C programming skills and good understanding of data structures.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in RTOS and embedded systems environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Familiarity with ARM CoreSight architecture.
- Python experience.
- Assembly and C++ programming experience.
- Experience with inter-processor communication (IPC) and communication buses.
- Windows OS development experience, including Kernel-Mode Driver Framework (KMDF).
- ARM and RISC-V architecture, particularly in areas such as coherency, signaling, memory management, and virtualization.
- DSP and CPU architectures, preferably ARM.
- RTOS architecture and development.
- Interconnects, system cache, and QoS.
- Power management, boot, debug, and security.
