Emerson is looking for an Electronics Engineer in Cumbernauld, Scotland to contribute to the design, development, and support of electronic solutions for gas analysis applications. This hybrid role involves new product development, lifecycle support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Ansvarsområden

Develop innovative and reliable electronic design solutions meeting product and customer requirements.
Partner with manufacturing suppliers and internal stakeholders for production transfer.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, bills of materials, and test procedures.
Develop design verification plans and perform verification activities.
Support electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, including planning, pre-compliance, troubleshooting, and external lab testing.
Create factory acceptance test procedures for printed circuit board assemblies.
Support existing and legacy electronic products through sustaining engineering.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify opportunities for product enhancement.
Collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and manufacturing teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for product quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Krav

Degree, technical qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Experience designing analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits.
Experience with board bring-up, troubleshooting, debugging, and electronic test methodologies.
Ability to analyze technical issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
Experience using electronic simulation tools for design and validation.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and quality.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience supporting products throughout the full product lifecycle (concept to sustaining engineering).
Experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
Familiarity with EMC compliance requirements and testing methodologies.
Experience creating manufacturing documentation, verification plans, and test procedures.
Interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with instrumentation, gas analysis, process automation, or related industrial technologies.
Experience contributing to cross-functional or global project teams.
