JD for Mech Design Lead. Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging. Leads a team of designers from concept to commissioning, performing calculations, material selection, and documentation. Requires working knowledge of mechanical engineering design, material science, CAD tools like UG/NX, and experience in Product Design & Development.

Ansvarsområden

Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.
Conducts feasibility studies and testing new and modified designs.
Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and performance validation.
Engages in design starting from design concept to commissioning, design calculations, material selections.
Leads a team of designers, provides guidance, and ensures the delivery of high-quality design solutions.
Performs and documents engineering tests, coordinates the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment, and generates documentation.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and integrate system design thinking into product development.
Presents design/analyze the concepts on mechanical systems, equipment and strategies to stakeholders and gathers feedback.
Implements concepts for a variety of product issues and mechanical solutions.
Establishes standards across all operational processes.
Stays abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and excellence in design.
Engages with the organization’s formal SDLC Process teams and executes the related processes.
Oversees the design team, sets design standards, contributes to the design strategy, and collaborates with stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals.

Krav

BE/ B. Tech (Mechanical Engg/Equivalent.) / ME/ M. Tech with any Mechanical Engg related specialization.
8 to 12 Years in the areas of Product Design & Development preferably with Semiconductor, Medical and Aerospace domain.
Working knowledge of mechanical engineering design, and material science concepts and techniques.
Proficiency in solving engineering problems using analytical techniques and engineering knowledge.
Basic knowledge of electrical engineering.
Working knowledge of CAD tools like UG/NX.
Basic knowledge of appropriate materials, components and technologies used in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Strong skills in mechanical basics, system design, Design calculations & Engineering change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills and quality.
Application Knowledge of GD&T, Design for Manuf & Assembly (DFMA), Root cause analysis.
Knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function such as UG / / NX, AutoCAD, Oracle BOM, and/or Oracle ECO.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Preferred candidates: From IIT / REC / NIT / Good Engineering Colleges.
Advantage: Knowledge in ANSYS & CFD ACE+/Fluent.
