As a Buyer in New Hudson, US, you will implement purchasing strategies, select vendors, negotiate prices, and issue purchase orders. Ansvarsområden

Implement purchasing strategies, including vendor selection, capability assessment, and performance evaluation.
Evaluate purchase requisitions, negotiate prices, and issue purchase orders.
Plan, develop, and buy materials, parts, and supplies.
Develop and maintain request for quotes.
Resolve contract issues and disputes.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
Research and report commodity changes and trends.
Maintain approved supplier and qualified bidders records.
Identify and lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage cross-functional relationships with Operations, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Planning departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Krav

Experience with contract negotiations, including pricing, terms and conditions, and purchasing policies.
Ability to analyze situations, set/adjust priorities, and use sound decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills.
Ability to organize data and make presentations to support decision-making.
Ability to understand the basics of drawings for specific parts.
Excellent analytical skills.
Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems, specifically SYSPRO.
Knowledge of and ability to apply commodity strategies and cost models.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Bachelor's degree or equivalent directly related work experience in business, finance, engineering, or other related field.
2+ years of work experience in a purchasing department or closely related field.
1+ year of experience in Category Management, preferred.
