As an Assembler II on the 3rd shift in Richmond, you will assemble gasket plate heat exchangers using hand and power tools, following blueprints and standard operating procedures. This role requires strong manual dexterity and attention to detail, with a focus on quality checks, documentation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assemble components to build finished gasket plate heat exchangers.
Use hand and power tools according to standard operating procedures and blueprints.
Perform quality checks and document processes accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S routines).
Collaborate with teams and participate in daily status board meetings.
Identify and suggest improvements for standard operating procedures and waste elimination (KAIZEN).
Cross-train in different manufacturing processes as required by the SOP Matrix.
Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items.
Accurately record data on quality documentation, components, and product.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives like PRP and TPM.

Requirements

Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to follow blueprints and written instructions.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items.
Accurate and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to pass Industrial Vehicle Test (Crane, Forklift, Joey).
Experience working a 3rd shift (10pm to 6:30am) is implied by the role title and shift details.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred.
Familiarity with Alfa Laval Production System (ALPS) concepts like 5S, Problem Resolution Process (PRP), and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) is a plus.
Proactive in identifying and driving KAIZEN improvements.
