Responsibilities
- Help customers solve complex CFD and thermal simulation problems using Synopsys and Ansys Fluids products including Fluent, CFX, and Workbench
- Use AI-powered support platforms alongside engineering expertise to diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and accelerate time to resolution
- Build long-term relationships with customers across various industries by understanding their workflows and helping them succeed with simulation
- Create and maintain technical content like knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and best practice documents
- Lead or contribute to team projects focused on process improvements, content development, and operational excellence initiatives
- Submit product enhancement requests and document software defects, then validate fixes during product release testing
- Evaluate AI-generated support responses for accuracy and relevance, providing feedback to improve the system
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Hands-on experience using Synopsys or Ansys Fluids software, or demonstrated proficiency with other commercial CAE tools in a professional setting
- Strong technical foundation in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and numerical methods
- Proven ability to build numerical models and apply simulation techniques to solve real engineering problems
- Clear written and spoken English with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers with varying levels of simulation experience
- U.S. citizenship to meet ITAR and export-controlled program requirements

- Ability to take a customer's vague description of a convergence issue and ask the right questions to diagnose the problem
- Enjoy teaching moments as much as solving moments, whether walking someone through model selection or writing a helpful guide
- Organized to juggle support cases across multiple customers and industries without losing track
- Genuinely curious about AI and machine learning and how it can change engineering interactions
- Take ownership when something is not working, escalating as needed
