We are looking for a skilled Radio Baseband Tester with over 5 years of industry experience, ideally in telecom, to join our team in Lund, Sweden. The role focuses on testing 5G/6G Baseband software, including verification, integration, and troubleshooting of complex features, and driving improvements in test methods and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead verification, integration, and troubleshooting of complex Radio Baseband features and functions.
  • Lead feature, regression, performance, robustness, configuration, capacity, feature-interaction, and end-to-end system testing.
  • Define test strategies, design test cases, analyze results, document findings, and identify quality risks early.
  • Collaborate across software, system, integration, and lab organizations to resolve complex issues and influence technical decisions.
  • Drive effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools in testing, debugging, automation, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Take technical ownership of complex lab and System Test Platform environments and drive improvements in test methods, automation, and verification efficiency.
  • Provide lab and infrastructure support, including technical input to equipment needs, CAPEX and investment planning, lab space exemption requests, and investment exemption requests.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring in verification, troubleshooting, automation, AI-assisted engineering, and lab/STP practices.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in telecom or a similar technology environment, with advanced experience in feature or system testing.
  • Strong knowledge of 5G/LTE wireless air interfaces and end-to-end testing involving base stations and mobile devices, such as gNodeB and UE.
  • Experience with functional, performance, robustness, configuration, capacity, regression, and complex feature-interaction testing.
  • Good understanding of physical, signaling, and protocol layers and relevant RF testing considerations.
  • Ability to plan, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex lab and STP setups and representative end-to-end test environments.
  • Strong software fault-isolation, debugging, automation, and scripting capability.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor colleagues, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex findings clearly.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Passion for quality and continuous learning.
