We are seeking a Field Service Team Manager in Kempton Park, South Africa, to lead a team of service engineers across Eastern and Southern Africa. This role involves ensuring operational capability, excellent customer experience, and meeting market demands through focused leadership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Service transformation in a team of Field Service Engineers for decanters, high-speed separators, and heat exchangers.
  • Maintain operational capability while balancing customer, business, and team needs.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience and meet service market demands.
  • Secure a strong QHSE culture within the team.
  • Provide direction and ensure a strong customer-oriented mindset in team performance.
  • Ensure FSEs with the correct skills are selected for complex jobs in cooperation with coordinators.
  • Ensure the team is equipped with the right, fit-for-purpose tools.
  • Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports, securing proper competence development.
  • Manage basic performance issues within the team appropriately and quickly.
  • Conduct FSE employee reviews, including competence profile and skills matrix updates.
  • Ensure effective management of people in remote areas.
  • Ensure proper handover of jobs for invoicing on time.
  • Implement continuous efficiency improvements utilizing innovative processes and technologies.
  • Lead change management to adapt to new market demands.
  • Implement and follow up on relevant KPIs to measure and improve performance.

Requirements

  • Degree/diploma in Engineering or Similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing teams of technicians/engineers.
  • Strong experience in Service, maintenance, repair, and assistance processes.
  • Exceptional time management/organizational skills.
  • Strong Communication & Presentation Skills.
  • Solid Computer and Digital Competence.
