We are seeking a Buyer to purchase materials according to technical specifications, price, and delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with corporate policies. The role involves negotiating agreements, analyzing bids, and managing supplier performance. This position is based in Nashik, India, and requires a Mechanical Engineering degree with 5-8 years of procurement experience.

Responsibilities

Purchase materials according to technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms.
Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
Identify new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.
Initiate Purchase Orders in the system, confirming delivery with suppliers and tracking supplier performance.
Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms and conditions.
Recommend frame agreements to management and execute upon approval.
Analyze and evaluate bids to determine the optimal value.
Work closely with Production and Shop-Floor teams to ensure timely material availability.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (full-time).
Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
Hands-on experience in PO creation and vendor/supplier management.
Experience in inventory management and supplier on-time delivery tracking.
Experience in procurement of mechanical commodities such as sheet metal, machining, epoxy, plastic molding, and fasteners.

Desired Qualifications

SAP MM experience is preferred.
