In short

This Master Thesis project focuses on adapting security assurance activities to keep pace with continuous software deployment. The student will research, prototype, and evaluate methods to ensure security analysis is reliable and efficient in fast-paced release environments. This is an on-site internship opportunity in Linköping, Sweden.

Responsibilities

Map security assurance activities in a product development flow and how they scale with release frequency.
Derive from research and industry practice what makes an assurance activity compatible with continuous deployment.
Select an activity and approach, and state the hypothesis to be tested.
Evaluate the hypothesis against current practice on coverage, repeatability, cost, and actionability.
Propose a stepwise adoption path for improvements that pay off.
Present results to security and development teams.

Requirements

Master´s student in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or similar.
Interest in software security is required.

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines is preferred.
