We are looking for a proactive Transmission Engineer with 3-8 years of experience, especially in Ericsson's transmission domain. The role involves ensuring the optimal performance of SDH and DWDM networks, managing optic fibre infrastructure, and handling incident management with a focus on customer service and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Provide operational support and assurance for Transmission networks, including SDH and DWDM.
Operate and support SDH networks (Marconi, Ericsson, or GPT) and DWDM networks (Ciena, Marconi, or Ericsson).
Troubleshoot telecommunications network incidents related to transmission infrastructure.
Manage and optimize optic fibre infrastructure.
Implement jeopardy management principles.
Familiarize with ITIL methodologies and Change Management.
Handle trouble tickets and change requests per SLA/WLA.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and provide corrective maintenance for complex faults and customer service requests.
Handle emergencies and provide on-call support (24/7).
Manage customized business object templates/reports and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with external suppliers for 3rd Party hardware support.

Requirements

Minimum 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.
At least 3 years of experience working in the Ericsson transmission domain.
Solid knowledge and understanding of transmission infrastructure, including SDH and DWDM networks.
Good understanding of support processes and best practices.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to meeting business and customer objectives under time constraints.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with optic fibre infrastructure management is highly desirable.
Customer-oriented approach.
Ability to contribute to improvements and changes actively.
