Responsibilities
- Monitor GCP resources using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Security Command Center.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve alerts, incidents, and service disruptions.
- Perform detailed troubleshooting across compute, network, IAM, and storage services.
- Manage Compute Engine instances including deployment, restart, and performance checks.
- Troubleshoot networking issues including firewall rules, connectivity, VPN, and load balancing.
- Manage IAM roles, policies, and access control mechanisms.
- Administer GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and GKE.
- Perform routine operational tasks, health checks, and maintenance activities.
- Provision and manage GCP resources using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Support landing zone setup and project onboarding activities.
- Configure and manage VPC, subnets, VPN, Interconnect, and load balancers.
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization and cost.
- Configure dashboards, alerts, and logs for proactive monitoring.
- Analyze system trends and recommend performance improvements.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Handle incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL).
- Work on GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, and VPC.
- Apply networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, VPN).
- Provide support for Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
Requirements
- 2–6 Years of experience as an L2 Google Cloud Support Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud.
- Understanding of ITIL principles.
- Experience with networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, VPN).
- Experience supporting Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience provisioning and managing GCP resources using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Experience configuring and managing VPC, subnets, VPN, Interconnect, and load balancers.
- Experience monitoring system performance and optimizing resource utilization and cost.
- Experience configuring dashboards, alerts, and logs for proactive monitoring.
- Experience analyzing system trends and recommending performance improvements.
- Experience ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
