This role supports the Operation Manager by overseeing operational activities within business units and across different areas. Key responsibilities include driving operational excellence and digital transformation, monitoring performance through KPIs, standardizing processes and tools, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting business development and cost optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead operational improvement initiatives across depots and business units, promoting digitalization, smart tools adoption, process standardization, and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen/APSYS).
Define, track, and enhance operational, financial, and managerial KPIs, ensuring data-driven decision making, fleet performance optimization, and achievement of availability, reliability, safety, and quality targets.
Ensure effective use of ERP and maintenance management systems, harmonize operational processes, standardize tools and reporting practices, and support data quality and governance across sites.
Act as a key interface with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal functions, leading operational reviews, coordinating improvement plans, and supporting technical and commercial discussions.
Participate in bid and tender activities, assessing operational requirements, contractual obligations, resource capacity, and cost efficiency to support profitable business growth.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, facilitate operational meetings, drive problem-solving and corrective actions, ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and support people development across the organization.

Requirements

Engineer education required.
Fluent professional English required.
Technical experience in railway business and expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering (+5 years).
Experience of maintenance or production management in the railway industry or similar (+5 years).
Project Management and Industrial management experience.
Technical knowledge of trains.
IT skills – New Digital tool for Data analysis / management (PowerBI, PowerApp, Advance Excel, ..).
Digital mindset supporting new Alstom initiatives.
Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels in the organization.
Good understanding of production planning, time scheduling, construction planning, logistics planning.
Result orientation and ability to solve problems.
Strong Leadership & Team Management.
Communication, Negotiation and Relationship with Customer, Suppliers and Internal Stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement approach, oriented to customer satisfaction.

Benefits

Total Gross Annual Salary Range: 43.400 euro - 57.800 euro
