AWS Just Walk Out is seeking a Software Development Manager in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India to lead a team of 6-10 software development engineers. This role focuses on building new features and improving the Just Walk Out experience, leveraging technologies like computer vision, sensors, and AI. The ideal candidate will foster a high-bar engineering culture and drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Own delivery of cross functional initiatives to build new features and improve Just Walk Out experience.
Manage a team of 6-10 software development engineers to build and enhance the shopping experience in Just Walk out stores.
Build software that deliver critical capabilities to the AWS Just Walk out business.
Enable bar raising customer experience, embed operational knowledge and encode best practices.

Requirements

2+ years of engineering team management experience
7+ years of engineering experience
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Desired Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
