SKIDATA is looking for a skilled Service Technician to join their Field Service Operations team in Victoria, Australia. The role involves technical service, maintenance, installation, commissioning, and customer support for access systems. This is a full-time hybrid position requiring 2-3 years of experience and a qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Advanced Electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnosis on SKIDATA equipment and sites.
  • Install, configure, and commission new access systems across VIC.
  • Complete work orders, installation documentation, warranty forms, and parts management in ServiceNow.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, presentation, and equipment upkeep, while identifying and reporting hazards promptly.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a service, maintenance, or installation role.
  • Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Advanced Electronics (or working towards one).
  • Strong computer literacy and programming skills.
  • Solid problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
