ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Regional Field Sales Engineer for the Northeast US to promote and sell electromechanical and electronic access control products. This role involves training integrators, collaborating on sales strategies, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical expertise in team-selling environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales territories in the Northeast US.
  • Promote and sell ASSA ABLOY electromechanical (EM) and electronic access control (EAC) products and solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on EM and EAC product applications, technology, installation, and deployment.
  • Certify integrators' sales, installation, and support capabilities through formal hands-on product training.
  • Train and support the channel, influencers, and internal personnel.
  • Facilitate deployments of product test beds and trial installations.
  • Collaborate and develop plans for increasing sales in assigned territories.
  • Develop wiring diagrams and represent ASSA ABLOY in installation meetings.
  • Conduct site surveys and audits with integrators.
  • Check on implemented solutions.
  • Strategize to win projects in new construction and retrofit opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot EM and EAC product-related issues.

Requirements

  • College/University degree (preference for architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar) OR work experience commensurate with a minimum high school/GED diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EM hardware/EAC.
  • Recommended 2 – 3 years of industry-related experience in field sales with EM/EAC products and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, with good follow-up habits.
  • Self-motivated individuals who take pride in attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time and projects proficiently.
  • Strong communicator and active listener.
  • Ability to work in teams or independently.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand specifications/facility standards.
  • Industry-related technical and sales aptitude.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% within assigned territories.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities in a home office environment or while traveling.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.
