Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams in mechanical engineering, electronics hardware, test software, PDM, and industrial engineering.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and other operational functions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the Process Engineering team.
- Lead multidisciplinary Process Engineering teams to resolve product performance and manufacturing issues.
- Drive DFM, DFA, and DFT activities, including equipment, fixture, and automated test system development.
- Lead the Product Data Management team in accurate BOM implementation and engineering changes.
- Lead the Industrial Engineering team in implementing optimization strategies and ensuring production capacity.
- Drive Industry 4.0, Lean, value-stream mapping, Kaizen, and other continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Lead factory-wide Total Productive Maintenance implementation.
- Lead the software development team in enhancing MES capabilities and automated functional testing.
- Coordinate Operational Excellence assessments.
- Manage factory capacity and asset planning.
- Optimize factory layouts to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Monitor consumable and spare-parts costs and implement optimization measures.
- Participate in Value Analysis and Value Engineering workshops.
- Identify competency gaps, implement individual development plans, and support succession planning.
- Resolve conflicts, lead organizational change, and foster an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative workplace.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- At least eight years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience, particularly in mechanical and electronics assembly.
- At least five years of leadership experience with demonstrated people-management capability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Vietnamese, Korean, and/or Chinese is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of industrial engineering and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance practices.
- Good understanding of return on investment and budgeting principles.
- Good knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and Lean practices.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Creative and open-minded thinker with strong listening skills, respect for diverse viewpoints, and a drive to learn, explore, and deliver results.
- Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills across Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.
