Responsibilities
- Design and test scalable microwave readout circuitry for topological qubits.
- Interface across teams to codesign the readout system with evolving qubit designs and control requirements.
- Document work, analyze, interpret and present design results.
- Build tools and processes necessary to enable progress in quantum research.
- Uphold safety standards and practices.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field; OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years experience in industry or in a research and development environment; OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check requirements.
- Ability to meet Citizenship & Citizenship Verification requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physics, Engineering, or related field; OR Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in industry or in a research and development environment; OR Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in industry or in a research and development environment; OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with filter design.
- Demonstrated ability with microwave design and layout for PCBs and ICs.
- Experience with radio-frequency based measurements.
- Ability to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Ability to work in an “AI-first” environment using modern AI tools to accelerate discovery through hardware development.
