The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports manufacturing processes and assists the Engineering team with process implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include setting up equipment, conducting tests, analyzing data, and preparing documentation. Requires an Associate degree or diploma in a related field and proficiency in MS Office, PDM, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for cost savings.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Analyze production data for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and update manufacturing documentation (work instructions, SOPs).
  • Monitor production lines and equipment for efficiency and safety.
  • Assist in training production personnel.
  • Develop and validate fixtures and in-line testers.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process optimization and new product introductions.
  • Assist in selecting and procuring manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Comply with ISO 14001 and 9001 requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to navigate PDM & ERP systems.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in English.
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician or similar role (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to engineering problems.
  • Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to solve problems.
  • Ability to deal with non-verbal symbolism (formulas, equations, graphs).
  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and kneel.
  • Ability to use hands and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
