Responsibilities
- Direct the safe and efficient operation of department.
- Perform simple production operations.
- Monitor and drive plant performance indicators.
- Align priorities with production demand.
- Train and show employees the safe and proper way to set and operate equipment on the mills.
- Push through a project with dedication, quality, & consistency.
- Daily problem solving.
- Communicate production needs with other support groups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in tube mill and/or roll forming process functions.
- 1 to 3 years of experience with mill setups and manufacturing processes.
- Experience managing and leading 10+ employees.
- Experience with special measuring devices: micrometer, calipers, and tape measures.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level to facilitate and understand terminology of the job.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow and adhere to the dress code.
- Ability to manage people, personalities, and challenges effectively.
- Ability to efficiently meet negotiated timeframes to support customer demands in a simplified, organized, and effective manner.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment conducive to productivity.
- Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
- Flexibility with production hours is required.
- Must be able to push through a project with dedication, quality, & consistency.
Desired Qualifications
- 5-S training is a plus.
- Lean training is a plus.
- Basic math and mechanical skills.
- Attention to detail.
