Amazon is seeking an Innovation Lab Lead for Fulfillment Centre Operations in Bangalore. This hands-on role involves piloting, testing, and proving new automation solutions like AMRs and automated packing equipment on a live floor before scaling them across the network. The lead is responsible for pilot execution, safety, data collection, reporting, and developing standard work for successful solutions.

Responsibilities

Run pilots on the floor according to the agreed test plan, including operating and testing equipment.
Set up pilot stations, material flow, and test scenarios before each trial.
Flag deviations, equipment, or process failures on the same day.
Enforce safety controls for the pilot area and conduct pre-trial safety checks and risk assessments.
Report and investigate near-misses and incidents in the pilot area.
Collect physical pilot data (time studies, cycle times, downtime, fault logs, exception counts).
Check data accuracy and publish the daily pilot report.
Maintain a live issue log and follow up until items are closed.
Draft and update SOPs and Standard Job Instructions (SJIs) as the process changes.
Build training material and train site associates and teams on new equipment for live sites.
Capture floor learnings for the deployment package when a solution scales.
Conduct daily 4M and 5S audits on pilot workstations.
Coordinate vendor and engineering teams during installation, trials, and troubleshooting.
Work with site operations teams to schedule trials without disrupting production.
Deep-dive on pilot metrics and propose actions and process improvements.
Stand in for the Ops Lead when needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Fluent in English (speaking, writing, and reading).
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
Experience with Excel.

Desired Qualifications

1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing experience.
Strong operations floor experience.
Curiosity about technology.
Ability to work well without direct supervision.
Ability to get engineering, vendor, and site teams moving toward the same outcome without authority.
