Qualcomm is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer in Hyderabad to design hardware platforms and systems for state-of-the-art IoT products. The role requires 1-3 years of experience in hardware design, system architecture, and familiarity with various interfaces and power supply design.

Responsibilities

Design hardware platforms or systems that influence state-of-the-art IoT products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, software, testing) to identify hardware testing needs and integrate components.
Design Evaluation boards and Internal platform designs for IoT chipsets.
Perform High-speed board design, schematic design, layout reviews, test and integration.
Maintain hardware through the product cycle.
Support bring-up for MSMs and run DVT and MTP performance testing & verification of systems or designs.
Work closely with software and RF engineers to actively contribute toward the evolution of a shared platform.

Requirements

1-3 years of relevant experience.
Keen interest towards Hardware design and System architecture.
Good product level knowledge in IoT products.
Experience in High-speed board design, schematic design, layout reviews, test and integration, and maintaining hardware through the product cycle.
Knowledge of interfaces such as Processors, graphics engines, digital audio, USB OTG, Bluetooth, GPS, SPI, I2C, DDR, MIPI, MDDI, and LAN.
Knowledge on Power supply design for the platforms.
Very good technical and communication skills to work with multiple Xfn teams like BBSYS, Chipset Arch, PMIC sys.
Good understanding of mechanical design and Layout to work with Mechanical, CAD teams.
Ability to quickly assimilate onto a specified project, read/write technical specifications/requirements, develop/refine hardware designs, apply integration/lab skills, and demonstrate strong problem solving abilities.
Ability to support bring-up for MSMs and run DVT and MTP performance testing & verification.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Good working knowledge of EDA tools like PowerSi, ADS.
Knowledge to develop automation scripts based on Python are desired.
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information.
