Responsibilities
- Support the customer enquiry-to-payment process, managing inquiries, quotations, orders, and administrative activities through to invoicing and payment.
- Process customer orders timeously, ensuring accurate information capture and efficient progression through internal processes.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding technical, commercial, order, and delivery matters, resolving them or directing to appropriate specialists.
- Coordinate pricing with intercompany entities, obtaining and communicating pricing, lead times, and commercial information.
- Liaise with the Customer Service Centre (CSC) to resolve queries related to pricing, order status, supply, delivery, and invoicing.
- Support and maintain accurate and current customer price lists.
- Support order and backlog management, obtaining updates, identifying potential delays, and communicating information to the sales team and customers.
- Support CRM and opportunity management by capturing and updating customer opportunities, activities, and quotations.
- Monitor customer requirements and follow up on outstanding actions to ensure commitments are completed.
- Support the sales team with customer-related administration, reporting, quotations, and order follow-ups.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication of customer requirements.
- Identify and escalate recurring customer service or process issues to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory for in-country stockholding and review customer demand to ensure adequate stock coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining/engineering industry.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Excellent time management and deadline-driven.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Strong understanding and compliance with Health and Safety in the workplace.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Salesforce or other similar CRM systems.
- Experience with Aurora ERP.
- Must be physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.
