Ameristar Perimeter Security USA seeks a Tool and Die Technician to maintain and repair stamping dies and roll form tooling. This role involves machining, welding, and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, technical training, and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Repair metal stamping dies including sharpening, cleaning, and refurbishing.
Repair and maintain tube mill cut off dies.
Work with press/mill operators to remedy part quality issues.
Support the maintenance department with machining needs and projects.
Machine die components and other plant-needed components using mills, lathes, surface grinders, and CNC equipment.
Set up and tear down roll form tooling.
Clean and polish roll form tooling.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

High School Diploma, Tech School, or Formal Apprenticeship/Journeyman.
5 or more years of experience making or maintaining metal stamping dies.
Experience with roll form tooling and processes.
Ability to troubleshoot tooling issues in the press or on roll forming mills.
5 or more years of manual machining experience with knee mills, toolroom lathes, bandsaws, surface grinders.
Experience running and programming CNC lathes and mills using conversational programming.
Ability to program a wire EDM machine with MasterCam.
Experience welding tool steel and other ferrous metals.

Desired Qualifications

Formal Apprenticeship/Journeyman is a plus.

Benefits

1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Overtime as required.
