Responsibilities
- Generate sustainable growth by developing distributors to promote and sell door hardware and hollow metal solutions.
- Oversee architectural hardware, hollow metal, and electro-mechanical sales within Southwestern Ontario.
- Drive brand awareness to influencers within the region.
- Establish relationships with customers and develop business plans for each account.
- Identify new product/business opportunities based on customer needs.
- Create sales per assigned accounts that exceed budget plans.
- Produce and follow-up on quotations, leads, and conduct sales presentations.
- Assist management in developing sales direction and market strategy.
- Monitor competitor activity and formulate response strategies.
- Be responsive to customer needs and resolve issues.
- Provide training.
- Attend trade shows and travel.
- Provide accurate activity reporting using Salesforce.
- Collaborate with team members, end-users, and specification goals.
- Other projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Five (5) years sales experience, preferably in the door security or related industry.
- Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience selling opening solutions as a consultant.
- Excellent planning, selling, marketing, contract management, decision-making and creative problem solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills with sales leadership qualities.
- Experience building business relationships with customers.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze and identify sales opportunities, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Ability to understand customer issues/needs and translate them into an action plan.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of sample and display material for sales presentations.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory up to 90% of the time.
- Ability to travel across Canada and occasionally into the U.S. (for training & trade shows).
- Valid driver's license in good standing.

- Experience with electromechanical hardware and hollow metal are definite assets.
