In short

Microsoft is seeking Principal and Senior Product Managers to define the product roadmap for securing AI. This role involves understanding customer challenges, partnering with engineering, and delivering integrated solutions across identity, network access, and AI security platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers and field teams to understand real-world security challenges around AI adoption, and translate those insights into clear scenarios, requirements, and success metrics.
  • Help define and drive product roadmap for securing AI — including safe access to AI services, protection of AI-bound data, and controls for AI agents and emerging AI traffic.
  • Partner deeply with engineering to design, build, and ship capabilities across the secure access platform — moving quickly from concept to customer impact.
  • Work across Security, Entra, Networking, and AI platform teams to deliver integrated, better-together solutions.
  • Track competitive and industry trends in secure access and AI security to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Own features end-to-end — from problem definition through preview, GA, and adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
  • 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
  • Knowledge of identity, security, governance, compliance, cloud security, or Microsoft Security/Entra technologies.
  • AI-native PM experience.
