Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain tube mill operations and equipment.
- Ensure continuous operation of the mill during the shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S).
- Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill set-ups.
- Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) on process and equipment.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
- Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
- Minimize scrap.
- Work with maintenance hands-on to resolve issues promptly.
- Document downtime through a seamless reporting system for KPI tracking.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in using special measuring devices: micrometer, calipers, tape measure.
- Ability to read and interpret set-up charts supplied by OEM for tooling adjustments.
- Ability to change out cut-off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
- Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling.
- Good communication skills with coworkers and material handlers.
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and mill conditions.
- Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience interpreting OEM set-up charts to make roll tooling adjustments.
