Qualcomm is seeking experienced engineers for its Hexagon NPU Team in Bangalore to develop high-performance, energy-efficient CPU and AI processors. The role involves deep expertise in CPU/AI processor micro-architecture, architecture, RTL design, and related areas for Qualcomm's proprietary Hexagon NPU.

Responsibilities

Plan, optimize, verify, and test critical electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems.
Integrate complex features and functionality into hardware designs.
Conduct complex simulations and analyses of designs with optimal power, performance, and area.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new requirements and incorporate test solutions.
Evaluate, characterize, and develop manufacturing solutions for leading-edge products.
Evaluate reliability of critical materials, properties, and techniques.
Evaluate complex design features to identify potential flaws, compatibility issues, and/or compliance issues.
Write detailed technical documentation for complex Hardware projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
8+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
2+ years of experience with circuit design (e.g., digital, analog, RF).
2+ years of experience utilizing schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
2+ years of experience with hardware design and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc.
1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
