We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead product development and engineering operations within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on new product development and enhancements throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring products meet all requirements while driving innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead product design, development, testing, and launch activities.
- Direct engineering and R&D teams to achieve project objectives and quality standards.
- Oversee product design reviews, engineering documentation, CAD standards, and design guidelines.
- Drive product innovation while improving manufacturability, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Operations to optimize manufacturing processes and support product launches.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product quality and manufacturing issues.
- Manage capital projects from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Support supplier development and technical problem-solving.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 7+ years of engineering experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, or production process engineering.
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
- Strong background in manufacturing environments and hands-on product development.
- Experience with CAD design tools, GD&T, engineering drawings, and design standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience leading capital improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DOE, 8D, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CATIA or similar 3D CAD software.
